CAAEYC needs volunteers from the early care and education (ECE) field for the Annual Conference & Expo to serve a 4-hour shift. We are seeking more volunteers this year. We need one volunteer for every workshop room to support a new tracking system.
When you volunteer 4 hours of your time, you can:
- Attend 4 hours of the Conference & Expo for FREE the same day or days your volunteer
- Obtain professional growth hours for your service
- Connect with other professionals in the ECE field
Who is eligible to volunteer?
First priority is given to students in the ECE field. We identify students as individuals pursuing an undergraduate degree in ECE or a related field. In addition, priority is given to individuals pursuing a graduate degree and are not fully employed. Generally speaking, administrators, college faculty, center directors and center owners would not be eligible.
The type of volunteer activities include: workshop room monitor, registration assistance, bag distribution, exhibitor check-in, helping attendees find their way, etc.
The shifts below are the days and times where volunteers are needed:
Saturday, April 20 – 7:00am- 12:00pm
Saturday, April 20 – 1:30pm - 5:45pm
Sunday, April 21 – 7:00am - 12:00pm
Sunday, April 21 – 12:30pm - 4:45pm
We are unable to make any guarantee of date and time. We won't be able to confirm your assignment prior to early March 2024.
If you commit to volunteering, we expect your full participation. Volunteers are an integral part of the overall conference success and every assignment makes a difference.
Volunteers are responsible for their own food, snacks, transportation arrangements and parking costs. If you are selected as a volunteer, we will provide an orientation by Zoom three weeks prior to the conference, including instructions on assignments.
For questions about volunteering or eligibility, contact the CAAEYC Conference Volunteer Coordinators at volunteer@caeyc.org.
