Honor an Educator Information

The Honor an Early Childhood Educator program was created in 2014 with two primary goals – to recognize early childhood educators who have made a difference in the lives of young children and families, and to provide NAEYC/CAAEYC membership scholarships for current undergraduate or graduate students majoring in early childhood education/development.

Is there an educator you wish to honor who has made a difference in your life or the lives of others (teacher, caregiver, parent)? Honoring an educator is a genuine and caring way to create a legacy of recognition for Early Childhood Educators who transform lives every day.

Each honoree receives a congratulatory letter from the California Association for the Education of Young Children, as well as a certificate of appreciation of their outstanding contribution to excellence in the early childhood field. Honorees are presented the certificate at the Honor an Early Childhood Educator recognition program held during the CAAEYC Annual Conference and Expo.

Congratulations to the honorees throughout the years and thanks to nominators for their generous support of CAAEYC.

The 2023 Honor an Educator recognition program will be held in conjunction with the Annual Conference in Santa Clara on Friday, April 21 from 6:00pm-7:30pm, at the Marriott Hotel Santa Clara.

Nominator and Honoree will receive complimentary invitations to the Honor an Early Childhood Educator recognition program at the Marriott Santa Clara, in conjunction with the 2023 CAAEYC Annual Conference & Expo in Santa Clara, CA.

The nomination submissions are now closed. Thank you for your interest in honoring an educator.
